Floral for Fall

I love getting to mix it up when it come to fall. So keeping the white jeans in rotation are a fun way to do that. I wore this tunic in the spring with dark skinny jeans and love this look with the moto jacket too. An easy way to create a balanced look is to wear a jacket and booties in similar color families. It definitely creates a cohesive look. 

Now, onto motherhood and how awesome / crazy it has been. Baby Bennett was born just over three weeks ago and yesterday was the first day it was just me and him for the day. And we survived! I luckily had the hubs with me for two weeks, and my mama for three, so navigating life with a new born was a lot easier than I thought it would be, because of their help and support. Plus we've had family here every weekend too. So it definitely makes it way more fun and exciting when there's more hands to pass him around and love on him. 

The nights are getting better as he's gotten into a good two hour feeding schedule. The first two weeks were just so crazy, we just fed and fed and changed and fed. Now our nightly groove is: I feed him and the hubs usually takes him to get changed and puts him back down. We tag team it and take turns taking over the whole feeding, if the other needs a little more sleep. So it's not too tough on either of us. Bennett has truly been an awesome baby. When he fusses it's ALWAYS for a reason, and man do we feel fortunate that this is the case! So we run through the list of what to do, change him, feed him. burp him, or lastly try skin to skin. He's a big fan of it and man, we are too! 

Becoming a mom has been one amazing little journey and I love it. Getting to be with Bennett everyday has been a blessing. It is definitely tough and different. But, just looking at him calms me and make me uncontrollably happy, the best feeling.
