What I Wore: Go Blog Social

BCBG blazer (super old) but similar here and here, Free People tank, Madewell jeans (old) similar here and here, Windsor bag (sold out) similar here and here, Target sandals, Loren Hope necklace borrowed through Rocksbox, Jules Smith cuff borrowed through Rocksbox, Sophie Harper studs borrowed through Rocksbox

I'm at it again with the black and white ( I just can't help myself) look that I wore to Go Blog Social over the weekend. Have you been to a blog conference before? This was officially my fourth blog conference so I had a pretty good idea of what to wear. I knew that I wanted to be comfortable ( I mean, who doesn't) and should wear pants because I would be sitting a lot and wearing a skirt can be scandalous if it's too short. You know what I mean?

I literally tried on a million differently outfits until I came up with this classic-and-sharp-with-a-little-bit-of-edge-look. I created the look by starting with the boyfriend jeans, added the comfy tank and structured blazer to balance out the roughness of the fringe details. I then added a pop of glam with a sparkly statement necklace and comfortable sandals with their own sparkle to make the whole look feel a little bit more elevated. And I packed my trusty big black tote and was ready for the day!

STYLE TIP: Similar to last week's post on black and white. When in doubt (of what to wear), black and white should be your go-to. It's a great way to look chic and modern without looking like you tried too hard. PS wearing look and comfortable pieces with a strong structured jacket is another look to keep in your back pocket.

And special thanks to Megan from Chasing Davies for snapping these pics this weekend at Go Blog Social!

Happy styling this week!
