Simply Summery in a Rain Storm

Old Navy cargo jacket (old) similar here, Talbots sequin stripe top (thrifted) similar here, Madewell white skinny jeans (old) similar here and here, Target sandals, J.Crew bag (old) similar here, Engraveable necklace, Monogram necklace, Pearl bracelet, Daniel Wellington watch, David Yurman ring, and vintage Tiffany's ring.

With all the rain that has been going on in KC - it's been a little difficult trying to figure out what to wear. So I put together a look that is easy to move in and threw on a trusty jacket that I don't mind getting wet. I found this stripe sequin top while thrifting and have worn it non-stop since I found it. Do you all like to thrift at all? It can definitely be time consuming - but totally worth it. The white jeans I've had for years and am thinking I will need to probably invest in another pair sometime soon. I'm pretty sure I need a pair with ripped knees - I just love that look.

STYLE TIP: How to look cute in a rain storm when valet isn't an option or your dude is unable to drop you off at the door. Wear a pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet. Although I do LOVE these sandals they were pretty inexpensive and I could replace them if they got too wet and started to look weird. Wear an outfit that too you don't care if it gets a little wet. So I don't recommend you wear a sheet shirt without a jacket (I've done it) or a silk top or dress and expect it to miraculously be find after a dry cleaning. Stick with cotton and pieces that you don't have to tug at. It will just make the day go a lot smoother.

Now, I need to get it together and head out to pick up some pieces for a new personal shopping client:) Happy Wednesday y'all! And special thanks to Lori from Born in High Heels for snapping these pics for me!
