I had my eye on a long striped cardigan like this one last year, and let it slip through my fingers. As, I was still-ish in my postpartum fashion fog, as I'd call it. Where you aren't sure if you'll stay the way you are, mom-bod and all, or if you'll whip yourself into super model mode and if you'll wear it for more than one or two times comes to mind too. Ya, know what I mean? Like there's just a lot going on up there in that postpartum brain, and we just need to relax and buy the damn cardigan. Honestly, it's not that serious. But, I like most of you other "perfectionists" and over thinkers. I just want to make sure I am making the best decision with my money and style. And this year I am embracing casual. Yep, I said it. I am gonna give it a whirl. Y'all know it isn't my comfort zone and I'd rather be in some sort of special occasion wear, than a pair of workout shorts. But, here we are. Workin' with the casual things this fall. And this stripe duster cardigan I found at the Kindred Shops is definitely a new fave. Yes, it is 100% WAY to freakin' hot to wear it right now. But, I have to show y'all when I get stuff before it's gone. So, I will sweat or freeze my booty off to make sure y'all know how to wear stuff, and feel good in it. When the temperature allows. Ya feel me?
So, anyways let's just talk about this #OOTD for a second and how it came to be. I fell for the cardigan and knew I would want to wear it with all the lace camis, like this one, that I bought earlier this summer and wore here! The Kindred Shops at Oak Park have a TON of these style and so does Nordstrom and H&M too! The lace cami is also a great layering piece that looks so good under jackets and cardigans. So be sure to get yourself one. You don't be disappointed. Promise.
Then I wanted to wear a pair of jeans that had a little bit of distressing so the whole look wouldn't look too put together. You know what I mean (perfectionists), so the jeans I'm wearing above were just right, with one knee torn out. I spotted this pair for under $40 that gives the same effect! Woop! And these booties work perfectly with this look because of how tight they are on the ankle. The jean bottom hem of these jeans are super tight and so is the bootie, which is the look you definitely want! And I love the little peak of my ankle showing too! SO adorable!
So ya, let me know how you dig this look below and how you are embracing that casual style life!
xo,
