It's that time of year again where weddings are starting to fill out the weekends on your summer calendar! I love it and have such a blast picking out what I will wear and waiting to see what everyone else will wear too! So, I wanted to help y'all find the best pieces that are easy to find in stores at Town Center for all your wedding events!
BLACK TIE WEDDING:
I was asked a few weeks ago about what the heck to wear to a black tie wedding. And I can't think of anything more intimidating than what the heck do you wear to such a extravagant wedding! RIGHT!? Well, I was real pumped when I found this silky floral dress at Banana Republic! I know it's bright and a bit wild, but isn't is so much better than just a black dress!? I love it! I spotted these tassel Kendra Scott earrings (which y'all know I love) and knew they would be such a fun accessory to wear with this dress. Plus, the tassels are removable too! So, they can be worn to different events in the future. Cool right!? And then I wanted to add in another fun print into this look with the gingham low heels from Macy's! Y'all know I love gingham everything, and these are so cute and just the right height to wear to dance the night away in! The perfect wedding bag is always a clutch, it's easy to put on a table, or at the back of your chair, and you don't need a bunch of items so a clutch is perfect. I always bring my phone, id, credit card, lipstick, concealer and bronzer, just for touchups through out the night. Now, let's shop a few more options of a black tie wedding below. BRIDAL SHOWER:
Now onto what to wear to a bridal shower for one of your best girls! A sweet floral dress is always a good choice and this one from Madewell is just right! The silky fabric, bright color and fit and flare silhouette are just so flattering and perfect! Wearing white just isn't cool. Like, I know that it's not her wedding day but it is still about your girl, the bride, and she should be the only one in the room wearing it. So, don't be that girl wearing white. You can however wear white accessories with your bridal shower outfit! Like a killer statement earring and a fun laser cut cross body are the perfect accessories to wear to the bridal shower. Especially a purse that's easy to throw anywhere is perfect! And since most bridal showers are in homes wearing a slide as they're easy to walk in on hard woods, carpet and tile. Now, let's shop a few more options below to find your perfect look:
REHERSAL DINNER:
After the wedding rehearsal there's the amazing and dinner with their family and friends! It's such a fun night that's full of excitement for the next day! So I recommend wearing something that's easy breasy and not too fitted so you can eat all the food and have fun! I loved the colors in this embellished floral dress from Sundance, because you can wear it with pretty much any color accessories! I love it paired with a bright statement earring and vibrant flats (also they're key if you're in the wedding party and will be standing a ton!) since the color is so subtle. MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT TO WEAR:
"Can I wear white now that most wedding gowns are not true white?" NO. NO. NO. NO. and NO. I know there are some seriously cute white dresses, especially eyelet styles. But, just don't wear them to anything related to a wedding. Save these styles of dresses for baby showers and church. But, you can wear white accessories with your wedding ensemble like these shoes, clutch, and earrings too!
"What do I wear to a wedding at 2pm that says I need to wear something formal?" So, this is a first. But, then again I think most Catholic weddings start earlier in the day and then the reception is later. Anyways, usually the word 'formal' and 2pm do not usually mix. But, honestly it's totally do able! I would wear a dress like this, with earrings like these, and shoes like these, and a clutch like this one.
"I'm headed to a wedding in Colorado this summer and they told me to wear my 'nice jeans"...I can't wear jeans, right!?" Exactly. You cannot. Well, I guess you could. But, that like I am not here for it. So, NO! You cannot wear jeans to a wedding. At all. Ever. Nope, nope nope. So if you are headed to this wedding or one that's just as casual I recommend this dress for coverage from sun, this one incase it's super hot, and this one just for fun!
WEDDING PRESENTS:
Now I don't know about y'all but sometimes my friends and family don't have such killer registries together. And I may just like to be a little rebellious and not grab a present off the registry!
