Mother's Day has always been a special day where I celebrate my mama and really let her know how much I appreciate her and just love on her. Almost two years ago I got to join the Mama club and I just gotta tell you how much I enjoy Bennett and getting to be his Mama. Especially now, getting to hear him call me Mama, is the most special thing. He's such a sweet boy that is just now figuring out how to walk around and I love it! I know I'm in for it from what everyone has been saying. But, I truly am just so proud of him! And now that I am in the club, I wanted to share ways to help make your moms feel special too!
So, I put together this springy and sassy outfit from the new Modern Society store that just opened at Town Center Plaza, next to Victoria’s Secret! The store is stunning and has great clothing and accessories for men and women! The style is fun and trendy and they have pieces for everyone and at nice price points too! The kimono I’m wearing above is only $38 dollars! I was blown away by everything they carry! They have adorable clothing of course, tops, jackets, jeans, shorts, and great jewelry, handbags, and sunglasses too! They also carry great pieces for men too! My favorite things to do on Mother's Day
1. Go to brunch with the family! My favorite spots at Town Center are North Italia, La Bodega, and Bristol. Be sure to make your reservations at your favorite spot before they fill up!
2. Pick out my favorite flowers(peonies and hydrangeas) from Trader Joe's!
3. Open up sweet presents (fingers crossed for this Mama necklace - available at Standard Style and cookbook) with my boys and share my favorite moments of my being a Mama to Bennett!
Being a Mom is such an incredible badge of honor I don't even think I realize sometimes how much I/we do and how much there is to manage. From getting them up and changed into there outfit(s) for the day, to multiple diaper changes, to ensuring I spend time outside with him explaining what's around him and working on his vocal skills. To making and cleaning up all the meals, to bath time, and reading to him too! All the while talking to him in an encouraging tone and asking him how he's doing and taking the time to listen to him too! It is a lot but I am VERY thankful that I have him! It's not about the to-do's it's about those little moments and watching them understand and learn new things!
