Spring Capsule Wardrobe
In the past I have put up a pretty big fight against the concept of a Capsule Wardrobe. As from when the concept first rolled onto the scene, it was all about a certain number of items you had to have. Like, I love a good edit, but to widdle your wardrobe down just to have 20 items as your primary wardrobe for a season, seemed wasteful. (Assuming your a clothes horse like I am, and just love clothes). My other issue with the original idea of a capsule wardrobe was that, I found it interesting that it me it seem like you needed buy all new items every season. And sure, I love to buy a couple pieces every season, who doesn’t. But, I don’t get why you wouldn’t assume you have cute clothes from the last year (plus) to wear this season. This also seems wasteful, like your throwing money away. But, for the sake of this whole idea. This is why I am on board with the idea of a capsule wardrobe for spring 2021.

This past year has been insane. When the world shut down, I know I did. Right!? Like, we’re home, we’re still home. Kids are home, husbands are home, parks are closed, stores are closed. We can’t go see family, we can’t travel, we can’t see friends. It was tough. There’s so much more to unpack. But, I don’t know about you but your girl ate a LOT of her feelings. Never worked out. Drank more, who didn’t. And survived by wearing nursing tank tops and skorts from Costco. There wasn’t anything to get dressed up for. I mean in the name ov all of my vanity, I didn’t wear makeup, everyday. I’ve worn makeup everyday since I was like 12. (Yes, it was freeing, and I was hot so it would have melted off, but I’m glad I could do that just not for why I did it.) So, I didn’t buy a ton of things for a summer spent at home. And the summer before that I was pregnant with Georgia, so I have a few dresses that are salvage-able. But not a ton. So, as far as a summer wardrobe it’s my pre-pregnancy clothes from three summers ago. LOL! Grrrrrreat! And that’s why I wanted to create this casual yet cute spring capsule wardrobe. Because I knew if I was feeling some sort of way about my cuteness & my clothes, I thought you were too. I hope you enjoyed my rendition of this Spring Capsule Wardrobe. I created these outfits with my mom life in mind. These are outfits that are comfortable and chic. That you can wear to the park, brunch with your friends, or even just at home. I know I love getting ready and always feel so much better about myself when I do.
