Town Center: Buckle is Back
Top: Buckle | Jeans: Buckle | Earrings: Buckle | Chocker: Buckle | Sandals: (old) similar here, here, and here
Did you all know that I worked for the Buckle in college? I'm not sure if I've ever shared that before. And truly, of all the places where I've worked retail, I learned the most about selling strategies there. And I really enjoyed how they gave us so many ways to ensure we met our goals. And no, not in a pushy, you will buy-this-or-else kind of mentality. Like, one of my favorite tools wasn't even video or anything, is was actually how the store was laid out. And as an Apparel Merchandising major, I love a good intensional floor layout. So, anyways, the store was laid out by fit of jeans, so the front of the store was the low rise, slimmer fits, like a freakin' size 23 jean for a 12 year old all the way to the back where there was higher rise, curvier fits for my clients that wore a 16. Like it was amazing! And there was ALWAYS new product and size runs where ALWAYS full (a retailer gal's dream, for sure). Oh and their mission statement is to create the most enjoyable shopping experience, and that might seem to be a bit off base, as they do have a reputation for being super intense, I can tell you, you will definitely leave with the best fitting jeans you ever had!
So, anyways I thought I'd check out the Buckle at Town Center! It's been awhile and I was pretty excited to see that they had wayyyyyy less Affliction-y / Ed Hardy styled pieces and TONS of FREE PEOPLE, yes, FREE PEOPLE! I was blown away. So, I'd say the overall feel of Buckle clothes are much more bohemian than how they used to be! And I was glad to see it! As, I love to post honestly here about brands and clothing I like, and you guys, here are all of my favorites at you can find at the Buckle now!
My favorite fit of jeans:
My favorite items under $50:
I thought this top was so fun and easy to throw on, I even was able to wear a "normal" bra with it! I also really liked this pair of distressed jeans, the rise is so nice and holds everything in, and had enough stretch to feel really comfortable too. And this choker, you guys, I definitely did NOT feel cool enough to wear it, truly, like I wore them in high school. But, they encouraged me to try it on and I now own it! I think it's a very cool piece that I can wear with a lot of crew neck tops and even v-necks too! What do you think? Do you dig the choker trend?
Now be sure to give them another shot, as their team at Town Center was super sweet and very helpful with putting together this look for today's post!
