KCFW: Look 1

This weekend was one for the books. It was Kansas City Fashion Week and it kicked off on Thursday evening and I was so excited to wear this look. I love this time of year and getting to really dressed up to attend this amazing event. 

When I found this top at BCBG on the plaza and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and knew it would be great to wear during KCFW. It's definitely a more expensive piece but I know it will be a piece I will have in my wardrobe for a long time. I love the bohemian styled lace and adore the bell shape of the top. I am excited to wear it this spring even with my vintage shorts and sandals - for a more casual look. 

STYLING TIP: When you wear a top with volume be sure to wear something more fitted on the bottom. And you can flip this idea around too. So, if you wear something fitted on the top you can wear something flowy and loose on the bottom. These ideas work for every occasion and every body type.
