Kansas City Restaurant Week is always such a great time to be in Kansas City! With over 170+ restaurants all over the city where incredible lunches go for only $15 and dinners for $33! It's such a great time because if there's been a place that you've been thinking about going, but aren't sure, this is definitely the time to go. Or if there's a place you just LOVE to go to, go now. We go to Fogo de Chao EVERY YEAR, because my husband's birthday falls during #KCRW and he LOVES that place, and the cost for dinner is about half of the regular menu. That's a win, win in our book. So with that I've collected my favorite Kansas City Restaurant Week picks for the places we love and the places we can't wait to try too! What are your favorite places to enjoy during this special Kansas City week!

LUNCH ($15)

Grunauer (Crossroads) - A delicious German-Austrian restaurant you have to try. I was hesitant last year when we went for the first time, and now we go anytime we can. I ordered the Kaiserschnitzel and Kevin ordered the Rindsbraten this year for KCRW, and loved both dishes so much. We also ordered both desserts from the KCRW menu: Wiener Apfelschmarrn Viennese-style pancakes with apples and Mohr im Hemd (GF) Flourless chocolate cake with hazelnuts and house made whipping cream, both were delicious.

The Jacobson (Crossroads) - Here's what I am loving from their KCRW menu, Tuscan Tomato Caprese Salad, Crispy Fried Chicken, and Salted Butterscotch pudding.

Cafe Trio (Plaza) - One of my favorite happy spots is offering one killer lunch menu, and here are my favs: brussel sprouts to start, Mac Daddy (because hello it's delish), and for dessert, the lemon cake.

Newport Grill / Paradise Diner (Overland Park) - Both spots offer super yummy menus and I'm pumped my favorite dish Cory's Fried Chicken Salad is on the KCRW menu! And for dessert it's a hard pick, but the Creme Brulee definitely wins out.

DINNER ($33)

Fogo de Chao (Plaza) - Like I said, we go every year, and we will again. And after years and years of this tradition, I'll tell you what, I am obsessed with the salad bar, and yes it's just as good as everyone says it is. And I am not as big of a carnivore as my husband is, so I stick to the chicken and the pork, and they so delish.

Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar (Plaza) - I went here for the first time about a year ago and was really blown away by the menu and this space. So, if you haven't been here's what you should get: Panang Curry Mussels, Shrimp Roll, and the Smores Whoopie Pie for dessert.

North Italia (Leawood) - One of my Town Center Crossing favorites and not just because of their amazing sangrias, hosts a wonderful menu and here are the favs: Prosciutto Bruschetta, Chicken Parmesan, and the Dark Chocolate Tart (hello nutella mouse, sold).

Novel (West Side) - is hands down my FAVORITE restaurant in KC! I always tell everyone it reminds of Top Chef, where you hear/read the ingredients and you wonder how they ever came up with the pairings, but they are ALWAYS fantastic. Seriously! So, if you can only pick one place to go for KCRW, this should be it and here's what you should order: Duck Neck Dumplings, Goat Cheese Gnocchi, and for dessert the Chocolate cake.

Be sure to check out the Kansas City Restaurant Week website to check out all of the restaurants. I love the site because it's super easy to use. You can search for restaurants by: type, diets, cuisine, and location, which makes it super easy to find the perfect place to enjoy. My favorite part of it all is that 10% of the proceeds from the KCRW meals will benefit five local charities: BoysGrow, Children's Center for the Visually Impaired, Cultivate Kansas City, Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation, and Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

Now go make those reservations before they book up!
