I'm always a big fan of celebrating Valentine's Day, I love, love and getting to celebrate with Kev is pretty special. Our very first Valentine's Day was probably my favorite one, and I think he would agree with me. We had been dating only a few months and he was working a co-op in McKinney, TX. So, I'm pretty sure I skipped class and drove down to spend it with him. Oh, to be 21 again and take a casual 4 hour drive to have dinner with the boyfriend. It was an incredible dinner, and here's what we did. There was this charming winery, Landon winery, and restaurant in down town McKinney that paired up for a five course dinner. The five courses were wonderful, we both had foie gras for the first time, and we had NO idea what we were eating, and once we did, we looked at each other, and were like, well, it's sooooo good! And we inhaled the rest of it. I also remember having beef wellington for the first time too. It was so decadent, and it became a center point for a couple of our future Valentine's Day dinners. It was very interesting making it for the first time. I'm pretty sure it was fillet steak wrapped in pouf pastry - which I'm thinking doesn't sound too bad.

But this year we're planning on going out, and are super thankful that we actually have a baby sitter lined up! So, I thought I stay on the ball and plan out what I want to wear. I found this off-the-shoulder top at LOFT a few weeks ago and fell in love. I knew it would be great with these distressed skinny jeans and a fun pump now, and white jeans and sandals this summer too. It is a bit of a high maintenance top, so it's definitely most ideal for date nights and not daily life with a 4 month old. But, I was pretty pumped when Kev approved of this look! So, it looks like this is what I'll be wearing out on our Valentine's Day date.

Have you thought about your plans for Valentine's Day?

xo,
